Sharon Brooks

Sharon Brooks is rapidly making her name known in the Soul scene in Australia as the lead singer of Pocketlove and with her own solo projects. Sharon’s professional music career began at the age of 16 in her homeland Barbados, making tropical waves in the Caribbean scene working as a vocalist in popular bands Spice & Company and John King & Jegna.

Then moving to Toronto Canada, she picked up work as a session singer for recording artists and playing in the acclaimed “Collective Selective” jazz group led by Henry Heillig. This led to her fronting an R&B cover band “Motor City” which eventually took her to living and working in Beijing, China. Her life in China inspired her first album “A Taste of Life”.

Sharon’s next move was to Montreal, where she embedded herself within the local industry, becoming one of Montreal’s most sought after vocalists, performers and writers. This quickly opened doors to international touring across Morocco, Canada, Asia, and Europe.

Now living down under, Sharon’s vibrant onstage personality shines through alongside her endearing audience engagement. It is this vivaciousness as a frontwoman and authentic soul stylings which has built her support base across Australia and Overseas.
