It was the years of live residencies that initially established Parasol’s reputation and strength of their live show, cutting their teeth on stage every weekend in front of full rooms at the Press Club, Cloudland and Brooklyn Standard. They immediately formed a special bond on stage, blending the driven rhythms and funk grooves with soulful hooks topped off by their vivacious frontwoman Sharon Brooks and a searing horn section.

This groundswell of support, along with the band’s live reputation, led to the band being invited to performat The Woodford Folk Festival, Island Vibe Festival, Jungle Love as well as the Caloundra Music Festival supporting Tower of Power.
